|DESCRIPTION:||Identification and control of insects, weeds and diseases of ornamental plants. The use, limitation and methods of applying pesticides including laws concerning their use.|
|CONTENT AND TOPICS:||-Weed, Insect and Disease Control couched in Integrated Pest Management Techniques
-Insect, weed, disease control
-Vertebrate pests, predators and parasites
-Pesticide formulatins, labels and calibration
-Environmental issues, record keepting, transportation and storage
|GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:||1. Employ integrated pest management techniques into an effective pest control program.
2. Be able to qualify to receive a private applicator's license.
3. Identify and control insects, weeds, and diseases of ornamental plants.
4. Collect at least 40 weed specimens in at least 20 different families.
