DESCRIPTION: Maintenance of trees, shrubs and turf in landscape, park, golf and athletic areas.

CONTENT AND TOPICS: -Turfgrass maintenance
-Mowing, Fertilizing & Irrigating
-Landscape soil and irrigation principles and practices
-Weed Control, Tree pruning and care
-Insect & Disease control
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. Learn how to think like a landscape manager.
2. Learn landscape management principles and practices.
3. Manage Landscapes with emphasis on turfgrass, trees, shrubs, and flowers.
4. Obtain CLT certificate from professional organization (ALCA).
REQUIREMENTS: Texts: Arboriculture, Harris, Clark, Matheny Turfgrass Management, A.J. Turgeon.
PREREQUISITES: Agron 122 or Biology 208 or permission of instructor
