DESCRIPTION: This course establishes a historical understanding of floral design primarily frm the influences of Europe.

-Hand-tied bouquest
-Topiary forms
-Parallel influence
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. Increase understanding of contemporary floral terminology and theory, with particular interest in European influences on design, both recent and historical.
2. Learn floral terminology.
3. Increase floral identification skills.
4. Hand-tie bouquests.
5. Design using high style and current trends.
REQUIREMENTS: Students must provide tools some of the design materials used. Web access.
PREREQUISITES: Hort 335 and 435, FDM major or consent of instructor
