GENERAL EDUCATION: This course fulfills a General Education - Religion requirement.

DESCRIPTION:
TAUGHT:
CONTENT AND TOPICS: The Missionary Preparation course looks at the gospel of Jesus Christ and the impact it can have upon the eternal happiness and well being of God's children.
This course will focus on three mojor areas:
1- Catching the vision of missionary work
2- Missionaries to match the message: becoming more Christlike
3- The message - the power of God unto salvation.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. Read the entire Book of Mormon.
2. Understand and be familiar with certain key scriptures, which can be used to teach the doctrines of the Church.
3. Read and understand the student manual.
4. Understand the importance of the Spirit and learn how to recognize the promptings of the Spirit.
5. Help potential missionaries understand the standard expected in order to qualify for missionary service.
6. Strengthen testimonies.
REQUIREMENTS: Regular attendance is required. All faculty give assignments, but each determines his/her own combination of text assignments, projects, and tests.
