| DESCRIPTION: | An ensemble experience designed to provide a challenging experience for string students who possess basic technique while focusing on the improvement of fundamental orchestral playing skills. Presentation of an evening concert each semester. Also combines with the Symphony Orchestra and combined choirs biennially for the presentation of Handel’s “Messiah.” | ||

| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | This course is designed to provide string student musicians with basic playing skills a string orchestra experience and exposure to string orchestra music literature. Emphasis is placed on developing orchestral playing skills in preparation for participation in ensembles such as the Symphony Orchestra. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | Attendance at all rehearsals and performances is a basic requirement. Adequate outside class personal practice as required to play individual parts. | ||
