|DESCRIPTION:||The Chamber Orchestra provides an opportunity for music students to expand their knowledge of string and chamber orchestra literature. Students will also have the experience to accompany choral and opera productions and participate in string quartets - working with a professional quartet in residency each January.|
|CONTENT AND TOPICS:|
|GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:||1. Gain exposure to a variety of music for smaller orchestra.
2. Develop performance skills in chamber ensembles, i.e., quartets, quintets, etc.
3. Experience performance techniques in playing for musicals and operas.
|REQUIREMENTS:||Each orchestra member is expected to attend and be on time for all scheduled rehearsals.|
