|DESCRIPTION:||This ensemble provides a challenging performance experience for percussion students regardless of playing ability. Membership in the Percussion Ensemble is open to all interested percussionists.|
|CONTENT AND TOPICS:|
|GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:||1. Master skills as percussionists through performance in a musical setting of percussion instruments outside the traditional band or orchestra format.
2. Develop individual playing skills on a large number of percussion instruments.
3. Become acquainted with percussion ensemble literature.
|REQUIREMENTS:||Attendance at all rehearsals and performances. Students must have own mallets.|
|OTHER:||Piano majors may receive large ensemble credit.|
