| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | 1. Increase understanding and application of technique inmusical performance. 2. Increase ability to perform securely, beautifully, and musically convincingly on given instrument. 3. Pass listed performance and technique requirements, according to appropriate level. 4. Develop good practice habits. 5. Acquire fundamental and advanced skills on instrument for music majors. |

| REQUIREMENTS: | Two hours practice six days of the week. Jury exam required for final grade |

| PREREQUISITES: | Successful completion of M154 requirements. | ||
| OTHER: | To be eligible for upper division study in the junior year (M360), students must have performed in public recital a minimum of 25 minutes by the end of the fourth semester jury at BYU-Idaho. Ten minutes may be chamber music. Fifteen minutes must be a solo performance of continuous playing (for example, a multi-movement sonata or a grouping of Romantic character pieces). The area coordinator determines qualifying performance opportunities. | ||
