| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | 1. Increase understanding and application of technique, ability to perform securely, and abiity to perform musically. 2. Acquire high level motor skill. 3. Analyze theoretical components of solo literature. 4. Acquire higher level musical concepts commensurate with solo literature. 6. Understand pedagogical aspects of music being learned. |

| REQUIREMENTS: | 2 to 3 hours practice six days of the week. Jury exam required for final grade. | ||

| OTHER: | Piano music majors must have performed previously in public recital a minimum of 25 minutes during the first two years at BYU-Idaho. Ten minutes may be chamber music. Fifteen minutes must be a solo performance of continuous playing (for example, a multi-movement sonata or a grouping of Romantic character pieces). The area coordinator determines qualifying performance opportunities. | ||
