GENERAL EDUCATION: This course does not fulfill a General Education requirement.

DESCRIPTION: Private lessons for non-music majors consisting of twelve 25-minute lessons per semester. Repeatable.

CONTENT AND TOPICS: Posture
Proper breathing
Focus
Resonance
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. Increase understanding and application of technique and ability to perform securely, beautifully, and musically convincingly.
2. Acquire fundamentals on instrument for non-music majors.
REQUIREMENTS: 45 minutes per day 5 days a week practice time. Memorization of a selected number of songs to be determined by the teacher
PREREQUISITES: Music 104 or 155. Concurrent registration in a vocal ensemble gives the student priority in the class, should space become a consideration for registration.
OTHER: These lessons are available on a space-available basis.
