| DESCRIPTION: | Introductory voice production class for students not majoring in voice. Required as a prerequisite for taking private non-major vocal lessons. One hour per week class instruction, plus twelve one-hour four-person semi-private lessons. | ||

| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | 1. Understand and correctly apply the principles of body alignment and breathing. 2. Implement correct breathing, good phrasing, and legato singing. 3. Identify registers in voices and obtain a more perceptive ear while listening to others sing. 4. Understand and apply the principles of good vowel and consonant usage. 5. Recognize and correct the four common vocal faults. |
