| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | The course will cover the basic manual and pedal techniques, the essentials of organ registrations (use of stops), as well as hymn playing for the congregation and playing prelude and postlude music for the Sacrament Meeting. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | Learn essential skills necessary to be an effective ward organist. Lay foundation for future studies on the organ. |

| REQUIREMENTS: | It is necessary for the students to practice about four hours weekly on the organ. Attendance at class is required. | ||
| PREREQUISITES: | Ability to play hymns of average difficulty on the piano. | ||
