| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | To provide an organized setting in which students can develop skills and strategies in the game of basketball and to give students a periodic opportunity to exercise aimed at cardiovascular development and to place them in an educational environment to develop social skills and interpersonal relationships. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | The student will: 1. Develop increased fitness level through the game of basketball 2. Learn and exhibit knowledge and skills used in the game of basketball: pass, dribble, shoot, rebound, ball-handling 3. Increase ability to work as a team 4. Develop skills to teach rules, fundamentals, and strategies of basketball 5. Exhibit skill to organize a team |
