GENERAL EDUCATION: This course fulfills a General Education - Basic Skills requirement.

DESCRIPTION: To teach basic skills, fundamentals and techniques of bowling.
TAUGHT: Winter, Summer, Fall
CONTENT AND TOPICS: This class is designed to teach the basic skills, fundamentals and techniques required to bowl effectively; to develop a sufficient level of physical fitness and skill level in each participation to allow them to engage in the activity with proficiency
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. Learn to bowl with proper skills and fundamentals
2. Develop and exhibit proper form
3. Acquire a and exhibit a knowledge of the rules, etiquette, customs and equipment of bowling
4. Develop a knowledge of bowling terminology
5. Learn spot bowling techniques and proper scoring
6. Learn and exhibit skill of league competition
7. Develop skills to teach rules, fundamentals, and strategies of bowling
REQUIREMENTS: 1. Learn through lecture, demonstration, videos, observation, and peer teaching
2. Learn and exhibit team organization
3. Learn about proper choice of equipment
4. Pass skill and written tests
5. Attend class and participate in all activities
6. Participate in league competition

OTHER: Bowling ball and shoes are provided in bowling alley
