| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | The student will: 1. Learn and exhibit skills and knowledge needed as a lifeguard: rescues, CPR for Professional Rescuer, AED essentials, oxygen administration, first aid, and disease prevention 2. Gain and exhibit a professional attitude 3. Develop emotionally and socially through interactions of class 4. Be able to swim at least 500 yards before enrolling in class |

| REQUIREMENTS: | The student will: 1. Attend class and participate. 2. Learn through discussion, videos, individual help, demonstrations, scenarios, task groups 3. Receive individual assistance 4. Pass skill tests and written exams |

| PREREQUISITES: | At least 15 years of age. Able to swim at least 500 yards. Good strong breast stroke kick or scissor kick. Strong swimming skills. | ||
