DESCRIPTION: This class prepares students with knowledge, values, skills, and ethics for macro level generalist social work practice. Topics: community, social planning, social action, locality organizational development.

CONTENT AND TOPICS: This class prepares students with knowledge, values, skills, and ethics for macro level generalist social work practice. Topics: community, social planning, social action, locality organizational development.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Understand the value of community resources available to serve clients, the diversity of community and populations at risk. Examine human behavior and change in macro systems and the impact of social and cultural forces in organizations, communities and macro-level groups related to social work practice and intervention.
REQUIREMENTS: Small learning goups, audio visual presentations, assigned readings, structured experiences, writing and exams and quizzes.
PREREQUISITES: SW 260, SW 362, SW 364
