| DESCRIPTION: | A study of the doctrines, principles and practices which will establish a successful, gospel-centered eternal marriage. | ||

| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | The purpose of this course is to teach the doctrines and principles revealed by the Lord through modern-day prophets and the standard works that, when understood and appropriately applied and lived, will strengthen an eternal marriage. The course will cover the following topics: gaining an eternal perspective; proclamation on the family; keeping the sacred covenant of marriage; communication and unity in marriage; managing finances and other resources; differences between men and women; foreordained roles of men and women; fidelity; respect; intimacy in marriage; keeping love alive; and children. |

| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | 1-Understand the doctrines, principles and applications relating to successful marriage as found in the scriptures and the words of prophets and apostles. 2-Understand the unique role of both men and women as it pertains to marriage. 3-Learn the temporal aspects of marriage: finances, employment, managing resources. 4-Learn how to keep love alive and growing in marriage. 5-Understand the importance of children and family life. |

| REQUIREMENTS: | Regular attendance is required. All faculty give assignments, but each determines his/her own combination of text assignments, projects, and tests. | ||
