| DESCRIPTION: | Theory and practice of organizing, developing and managing a theatre company from its conception to opening night and beyond. A course designed to acquaint the student with the logistics of building a theatre company. | ||

| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Students will explore physical facilities, funding a business plan, staff organization, job qualifications and descriptions, production schedules, show selection, projection of income, and budgeting. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | Develop a basis for a career in Theatre and Stage Management and related fields. Be prepared to function as producer for church, educational, and community theatre groups. Be prepared to function as a stage manager for church, education, and community theatre groups. | ||
| REQUIREMENTS: | Attendance, quizzes, two major exams, and a major team project. | ||
| PREREQUISITES: | Open to students of Junior standing with an emphasis in Theatre or Technical Theatre. | ||
