DESCRIPTION: Exploration of contemporary visual communications within graphic design and related fields.
TAUGHT: Fall, Winter, and Summer
CONTENT AND TOPICS: An exploration of various contemporary visual communications within the discipline of graphic design and related fields. Traditional and contemporary visual design problem solving will be emphasized. Additionally, design principles, methods, and tools will be introduced.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: -- Be introduced to the graphic design profession.
-- Understand basic design elements and principles.
-- Be introduced to the creative process.
-- Be introduced to traditional and computer graphic design skills.
-- Be introduced to design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
