| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | An introduction to typography as a fundamental element of graphic design. This course will also include an overview of the development and history of typography and the classification and creative use of type. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | -- Be introduced to typographic history and will be introduced to type classification. -- Be introduced to letterform anatomy and design. -- Have an introduction to typographic design principles and the grid system of design, focusing on the creative uses of type. -- Explore in more depth drawing and page layout software (Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign). |
