| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | This course is an advanced overview of identity and branding design. Emphasis will be on audience and client research, logo development, brand development, and collateral applications. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | -- Have an overview of graphic design history and contemporary professional practice in identity design. -- Be introduced to the design of symbols, logos, and brands. -- Be introduced to the psychology of and the creative application of color and images. -- Experimentation in font selection and modification. -- Be introduced to identity standards, control. and extension of brands. -- Explore in more depth drawing software (Adobe Illustrator). -- Be introduced to printing issues including printing press styles, trapping, bleeds moires, ghosting, etc. |
