GENERAL EDUCATION: This course does not fulfill a General Education requirement.

DESCRIPTION: Student self-directed photographic projects, strategies for success as fine art and practical photographers.
TAUGHT: Winter
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Resumes, grants, juried exhibitions, internship opportunities, and graduate school. We will also discuss articles, peer work, and the work of contemporary photographers. We will travel to galleries/studios. Students will design their own photographic projects and have the opportunity to explore an area of interest in depth.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: -- Completion of self-directed photographic project.
-- Understand strategies to succeed as fine art and practical photographers.
-- Gain a greater understanding of the world of contemporary fine-art photography.
REQUIREMENTS: Enrolled as an Art major or consent of instructor
PREREQUISITES: Acceptance into the B.F.A. program
