| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | -- SHave an overview of graphic design history and contemporary professional practice in editorial and publishing design. -- Be introduced to the principles of sequencing and pacing. -- Be introduced to the publishing processes for traditional media. -- Be introduced to the organization of complex print and electronic media. -- Explore in more depth traditional and web publishing software (Adobe InDesign). -- Be introduced to finishing issues including folding, binding, signatures, paper economics, etc. |
