|DESCRIPTION:||Exploration of motion as a principle of graphic design, as it relates to film and electronic media.|
|CONTENT AND TOPICS:||An introduction to the principles and possibilities of motion in design. Students will explore how motion is used in film and electronic environments. Typography and image in motion will be explored.|
|GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:||-- Have an overview of graphic design history and contemporary professional practice in motion design.
-- Be introduced to the principles of motion design including issues of ideation, story boarding for presentation, and technical processes.
-- Explore principles and techniques of design in motion such as pacing, transitions, effects, audio sequencing, etc.
-- Have an introduction to videography and cinematography.
-- Be introduced to motion imaging software (Flash, Adobe After Effects).
