| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | An introduction to the principles and possibilities of motion in design. Students will explore how motion is used in film and electronic environments. Typography and image in motion will be explored. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | -- Have an overview of graphic design history and contemporary professional practice in motion design. -- Be introduced to the principles of motion design including issues of ideation, story boarding for presentation, and technical processes. -- Explore principles and techniques of design in motion such as pacing, transitions, effects, audio sequencing, etc. -- Have an introduction to videography and cinematography. -- Be introduced to motion imaging software (Flash, Adobe After Effects). |
