| DESCRIPTION: | A studio experience exploring the principles and practices of three-dimensional media. Designed for non-art majors. | ||

| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Assignments may include a replica of an ancient ceramic piece, a response to a contemporary ceramic piece, construction of a notebook/sketchbook, wire and/or paper sculpture, a construction using found materials, a major conceptual piece involving any materials. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | -- Give non-art majors a studio art experience in three-dimensional art forms. -- Explore ways in which ideas and purposes may be translated into three-dimensional form. -- Expose students to a variety of materials and methods of work. -- Acquaint students with principles of art and judgment. |
