DESCRIPTION: This course offers an introductory level overview of the major elements of entrepreneurship and small business management. This course is especially good for students who plan to launch a business while going to school or plan to have their own business in the future.
TAUGHT: Winter, Fall
CONTENT AND TOPICS: An overview of the basic skills of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial opportunities, writing new venture business plan, small business marketing, and managing small business operations
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Evaluate personal attrtibutes and skills associated with entrepreneurs.

Learn the basic elements of a business plan.

Interview entrepreneurs and franchisors.

Understand the basics of entrepreneur marketing.

Understand the management and human resource side of small business.
REQUIREMENTS: Presentations, essay exam, self-assesments, written business plans.
