| DESCRIPTION: | An in depth examination of Wetland and Riparian Ecology. Emphasis is placed on stream channel and wetland morphology and function as well as riparian plant succession. Links to terrestrial and riparian components of applicable ecosystems will be investigated. | ||

| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Stream and wetland morphology, function, properly functioning condition, associated plant succession, plant/herbivore interactions, and associated soil and watershed topics. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | Introduce students to the principles of Wetland and Riparian Ecology. Facilitate internships for students who are majoring in Natural Resource Management. Provide a solid knowledge base for students taking course as a requirement for Natural Resources minor. |
