DESCRIPTION: Microscopic anatomy of cells and tissues and their relationship to the function of the cell.
TAUGHT: Winter, Fall
CONTENT AND TOPICS: Microscopic identification of the organs and systems of the body. Students will study the histological staining techniques used for light microscope, immunohistochemistry, cytoarchitecture, SEM and TEM.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Equip students with the requisite skills needed to identify the tissues of the body and the techniques for preparing these tissues.
