| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Introduction to general pathology; Fluid and electrolyte disorders; Gastrointestinal system disorders; Cardiovascular system disorders; Respiratory system disorders; Renal system disorders, Neurologic system disorders; Endocrine system and metabolic disorders; Reproductive system disorders. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | To give students in nursing and the allied health professions a solid background in the disorders affecting the various organ systems. Students will learn the etiology, pathophysiology, signs and symptoms, and treatments for the conditions covered in class. | ||
