| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | Each student will demonstrate: · Knowledge of historical, philosophical, and legal basis of services for young children · Knowledge of principles of staff selection, staff training, and staff evaluation · Knowledge of current issues/trends in the administration of service-delivery programs for children, youth and families · Knowledge of the role of parents in program administration · Knowledge of current service-delivery models and community service options for children, youth and families · Knowledge of legislation affecting children, families, and service-delivery programs · Knowledge of various assessment materials and activities, including family needs measures · Knowledge of health/safety standards and practices as components of service-delivery programs · Knowledge of current issues and practices related to the nutritional needs of children and youth Knowledge of professional literature, organizations, and resources |
