DESCRIPTION: The physical and emotional changes that take place during pregnancy and childbirth. Prenatal development. Impact of pregnancy and childbirth experiences on the couple relationship.

CONTENT AND TOPICS: Conception, infertility, miscarriage, prenatal risks, prenatal diagnosis, weight gain, fetal development, typical pregnancy, marital relations, father involvement, labor, delivery, medical intervention, breastfeeding.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: Know fundamental stages related to prenatal development, pregnancy and childbirth.
Define and describe terms and concepts related to prenatal development, pregnancy and childbirth.
