McKay Testing Center: 8 am-10 pm

11 am-4 pm Sat.
Taylor: 3 pm-9:45 pm M-F (Tests for here are listed at McKay
Testing) Print-on-demand tests can be
taken at either the McKay Testing or the Taylor Room 130 since these tests are printed
as needed. Those instructors who use the testing center may give write-on tests (essay or short answer-scored by instructor) or multiple choice for which results are seen immediately on TV screen. (Printed scores are still given at the Taylor). These scores can also be looked for on the BYU-Idaho home page under “Testing Services." Standard tests are also given. These include: ACT, CLEP, PRAXIS, GED. We also give tests for other
universities including Independent Study classes. Call 496-1206 for questions or check our
web site. Faculty can view class scores and
get an item analysis on our web page.
Most reports are now sent through an e-mail notice. The Testing Center provides a WEB
page linked from the BYU-Idaho home page. These pages provide student, faculty,
and visitor information. Among other things, a live view of the McKay Testing
Center can be seen on the Student Information page. Visitors can get general
information including directions to the Testing Center. Students can look up their test
scores and test deadlines. Faculty can view class scores, including item
responses for their tests. These pages are on the Testing Center Server and
contain scores and private test information available only on campus computers
using passwords for connection. To increase our seating capacity the
Testing Center can now provide what we call “Print-On-Demand” Testing. That
means that any test that a teacher provides to the Testing Center in a digital
format for printing can be printed at request in any BYU-Idaho test center that
is open.
