| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | For majors in Geology, Engineering, Forestry, Construction and other programs. Includes a study of our earth and the processes that formed it's features. Students who take Geology 111 must register for Geology 111L. Students who take Geology 111 may not receive credit for Geology 101. | ||
| DESCRIPTION: | Physical Geology is an introductory geology course and would serve anyone planning to work in the natural sciences. Physical geology focuses on the active processes that continue to shape and modify the surface of the earth including volcanoes, earthquakes, floods, and landslides. | ||

| OBJECTIVES: | This class is recommended for majors in Geology and Earth Science Education and anyone pursuing a vocation in a related field. As a foundation course it provides an introduction to many different topics, each with the potential to become an area of more in depth study. | ||
