| CATALOG DESCRIPTION: | Engine theory and procedures for engine overhaul and rebuilding. Major problem diagnosis testing, repairing, and ways of determining as a businessman the most feasible method of repair. | ||

| TOPICS: | Students will have an in-depth study of a four cycle engine by performing engine condition testing, diassembly, inspection, and measurement of every engine component, machine work on various engine parts, engine reassembly and successful engine operation on an engine overhaul. | ||
| OBJECTIVES: | Students will be tested for both their comprehension of and ability to perform: 1) Engine condition tests. 2) Engine disassembly procedures. 3) Cleaning and crack detection methods. 4) Precision measuring. 5) Machining of valves and valve seats. 6) Proper engine reassembly practices. 7) New engine start-up and "break-in" procedures. |
