Second semester of introduction to biology for majors and minors. Includes the study of the evolutionary history of biological diversity, plant form and function, animal form and function, and ecology. (Winter, 1st Summer, Fall) |
| DESCRIPTION: |
This is a rigorous introductory course for biology majors and those seeking entrance into professional school. The course provides in depth exposure to many of the key topics in biology, providing the student with the foundation necessary for success in the upper division biology classes. The accompanying lab will introduce students to the use of scientific instruments, provide opportunities to practice critical thinking as they evaluate the results of their experiments, and provide experience in scientific writing. |
