| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Basic components, analytical functions of GIS, spatial and geographic concepts, cartographic communication, automated mapping characteristics, map projections and map scale, geocoding, coordinate systems, and nature of spatial area. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | Recall relevant content from geographic subject matter. Interpret maps, globes, and other geographic methods. Solve problems systematically using geographic methods. Use geographic representations and tools to analyze, explain, and solve geographic problems. Use technologies to represent and interpret Earth's physical and human systems. Develop communication skills. |
