| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | This course helps students to more fully understand the role of the ancient Western tradition in shaping our modern world. Students learn to identify major stylistic developments in the arts and to recognize specific works of art. To understand how the respective art forms are a manifestation of the values of the societies that produced them. |
