| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | 1. Read accurately International Phonetic Alphabet symbols representing German and French. 2. Write transcriptions of German and French song texts in International Phonetics (with a dictionary). 3. Identify and apply singing pronunciation rules for German and French, and read and pronounce accurately (with preparation) excerpts from German and French song texts. |

| REQUIREMENTS: | Text study, writen assignments, class attendance, participation in classroom drills, plus oral, write-on, and multiple-choice tests (and quizzes) on German and French diction. | ||
