| DESCRIPTION: |
Pedagogy is the art or science of teaching, especially in the instruction of teaching methods. Instruction emphasizes practical teaching experience in both private and group situations and supervision of practice teaching. Students will supervise first semester pedagogy students in M265A. |

| CONTENT AND TOPICS: |
In preparation for practicum teaching students will prepare lectures on topics which will include piano systems/methods, business practices and basic principles of music education |

Acquire skills and exepriences which will enhance teaching effectiveness. |
| REQUIREMENTS: |
Attend all class periods, complete assignments and examinations as scheduled.

| PREREQUISITES: |
M265A and M265B. Designed primarily for piano pedagogy majors, students enrolled in the course should have a performance competency level that will enable them to adequately participate both in performance and basic theoretical analysis of the music. The course is open to non-majors with an interest in teaching in the home. |
