| DESCRIPTION: | Airway anatomy, physiology and management to include endotracheal intubation, combitube, PTL, EOA, EGTA tracheal suctioning, extubation, advanced airway techniques, needle cricothyrotomy, surgical cricothyrotomy, transtrachael jet ventilation, rapid sequence intubation, retrograde intubation, nasotrachael intubation, digital intubation, stoma management, advanced respiratory diseases and disorders with pharmacological management. | ||

| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | Students will: 1) establish and/or maintain a patient airway, oxygenate, and ventilate a patient, 2) integrate pathophysiological principles and assessment findings to formulate a field impression and implement the treatment plan for the patient with respiratory problems. | ||
