| DESCRIPTION: | Intermediate oil painting: still-life, landscape, and an introduction to portraiture. | ||

| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Basic oil painting techniques are discussed including value, temperature, color mixing, paint application, etc. Expanded studies in still life, landscapes, and portraiture stressing increased competence in skill, technique, and design. A portion of the class is also devoted to expanding one's awareness of modern artist styles and directions, including stylization, abstraction and interpretation. |
