Layout Templates
We have prepared templates for standards communication pieces. These files can be downloaded from here. Please use these files when preparing communication on behalf of the university.
Fonts
When possible use approved university fonts:
- Minion Pro
- News Gothic
If you do not own copies of these fonts, they may be purchased by contacting Thaine Robinson in Technology Support and requesting the Adobe Type Classics suite (cost: $30). Though the cost is considerably higher, individual typefaces for both the Minion Pro and News Gothic Standard families can be purchased at:
Times New Roman and Arial may be used as substitutes for the approved university fonts for lower profile communication.
You may want to use unique fonts on an on-campus promotional piece - use discretion.
[Design tip: give your poster style and personality with layout and images, not a variety of fonts]
