First phase of new beta website ready for public
BYU-Idaho unveiled the product of nearly two years of work and innovation as it launched its new beta website in May — beta.byui.edu. The new site is being built in stages to eventually replace www.byui.edu later this year.
Among the list of debuts in the first phase was a new homepage, as well as new sites for University Communications, Housing & Student Living, Visitors’ Center, Student Activities, and the Newsroom. One of the site’s most noteworthy features is the creation of four distinct audience pages: current students, employees, future students, and alumni and community. Each of these was designed with a specific audience in mind, including links, information, and advertisements most relevant to them.
Users are encouraged to visit and test the new site. Until the beta site replaces the classic version at the end of this year, users may choose which they prefer to use, or navigate between the two.
