The David O. McKay Library was remodeled in 2001. Existing electrical, heating and cooling, plumbing, and data systems were all replaced. Interior finishes were updated and existing space was reconfigured. The McKay Library serves university and community patrons with a vast book collection, nearly 80 percent of which is in electronic form. The building also houses university archives, a special exhibition area, instructional technology labs, and a Family History Center.
