David Olsen received his bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and his master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he is currently completing doctoral study. An avid performer, David has performed in a variety of styles and venues, from musical theatre to opera, barbershop to acapella jazz. Recent appearances include the title role in Julius Caesar, Papageno in the Magic Flute, the Father in Hansel and Gretel, and the baritone/bass soloist in Brahms’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah. Other professional engagements include several seasons with the Utah Festival Opera Young Artist program, appearing as featured soloist with the Tulsa Signature Symphony, and recording with the early music ensemble La Donna Musicale.
