Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing: Program Overview



This program is designed for currently licensed Registered Nurses.  Some of the benefits include:

  • Enhanced nursing knowledge
  • Expand employment opportunities and employable skills

 

The RN to BSN Program is available all semesters and generally takes three to six consecutive semesters to complete. The courses may be taken:

  • Through Distance Education
  • On campus and/or Online

 

Graduates of the RN to BSN Nursing Program will exemplify the nursing philosophy:

 

Stewardship

  • Demonstrate accountability and independence for designing and administering nursing care
  • Assume increasing responsibility for personal and professional stewardship goals

Knowledge

  • Administer, direct, manage, and coordinate holistic nursing care for individuals, families, and communities
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of self and community by pursuing further education
  • Utilize, conduct and evaluate nursing research

Professionalism

  • Be prepared to accept roles within professional nursing organizations

Critical Thinking

  • Apply knowledge and understanding of self by utilizing critical thinking

  • Recognize, initiate, and develop caring attitudes and relationships

Nursing Process
